The Home Stretch: The Third Trimester

Thank goodness, I have finally reached the third trimester! We are on the home stretch! It's so crazy to think that Anna could be here in as little as 10 weeks! I will have to say that the second trimester went by much more quickly than the first (and they even GIVE you two weeks in the first!) Hopefully the third will go even more quickly.

Anna is moving more than ever. She refuses to let me sleep on my left side now! Every time I lay on my left side she kicks her feet (more like grinds her feet) into my side until I roll over. She will let me lay on the left just long enough to kiss her Daddy goodnight. Ross and I keep saying how fun it will be when she is just across the hall. (Even more fun for me, as I will return to my prepregnancy stomach sleeping and left sided husband snuggling!)

Granne and Nana have both felt Anna's kicks now. Granne has attempted several times to feel her, but as soon as she puts her hand on my tummy Anna gets very still. It is like she knows that she should be on her best behavior for her grandmother! Tonight she finally got to feel her and Anna gave her three or four good "Hello Granne" kicks right on her hand.

My tummy is looking very large now. (Hmmm...running out of room already.) Poppie asked me if I am going to deliver next week! He has also asked me if "any kids jumped off of me at the pool" and if "any birds landed on me like an island" at the lake. Ha ha, Poppie!

Anna will be very proud to know that I watched her Nana and Pops both ski at the lake last week. This generation of grandparents is the new and improved, younger, and hipper. No short gray headed curls or bald heads in this crowd!

My next doctors visit is Monday with Dr. Moore. Hopefully more good news to report then!
