This is the first of many years, as we have decided that our Pawleys Island trip will occur annually. We had a blast. It was everything I wanted, and I cannot thank Mom and Dad and Emily and Julie for helping so much with Anna. Anna wasn't crazy about waves, but she certainly loved eating the sand. The boys fished, and the girls spent hours on the beach, most with noses in books, and me...day dreaming and listening to the waves with no pressure to do anything but sit and enjoy. I am counting down the days until our next trip.
"In my daughter's eyes I can see the future A reflection of who I am And what will be And though she'll grow And someday leave Maybe raise a family When I'm gone I hope you see How happy she made me For I'll be there In my daughter's eyes" Martina McBride

Pawleys Island 2009
This is the first of many years, as we have decided that our Pawleys Island trip will occur annually. We had a blast. It was everything I wanted, and I cannot thank Mom and Dad and Emily and Julie for helping so much with Anna. Anna wasn't crazy about waves, but she certainly loved eating the sand. The boys fished, and the girls spent hours on the beach, most with noses in books, and me...day dreaming and listening to the waves with no pressure to do anything but sit and enjoy. I am counting down the days until our next trip.
Ashley's 30th Birthday
Addie and Anna
These pictures are of my girlfriend Carrie's little girl Addie. She and Anna are only three months apart. They loved each other! Anna kept pulling Addie close to her from the "exersaucer". Anna would jump up and down in her seat, and Addie would giggle so hard. It was so much fun to watch these little friends in the making. One of my biggest hopes for Anna is that she always has close girlfriends by her side, as I have always been so blessed to have many close girlfriends. They are the gift that keeps on giving.
